2 Component Polymer Fast-Setting Elastomeric Sealant
DESCRIPTION:
FX-571-G, 2-Component Polymer Fast-Setting Pourable Elastomer is specifically manufactured and formulated to produce a "fast-setting" in-place gasket or joint sealant. FX-571-G is particularly advantageous for sealing below grade conduit and cables installed by utility companies. This is accomplished within minutes with no delays. The FX-571-G is an excellent choice for use in horizontal joints where high volumes of pedestrian or vehicular traffic demand the use of a material that will allow reopening with minimum disruption of use. This product is available by SPECIAL ORDER ONLY.
ADVANTAGES:
FX-571-G is self-leveling, "fast-setting", has excellent tensile elongation, good electrical properties for cable sealing, is field formed and has excellent resistance to gasoline, oil and inorganic chemicals found in soil. FX-571-G meets the requirements of FS-TT-S-227.
WHERE TO USE:
FX-571-G is used to seal electrical conduits below grade or above grade. It can be used to waterproof joints, shopping malls, parking garages, airports, subways or any area that necessitates a rapid setting sealant.

FX-571-G, 2-Component Polymer Fast-Setting Pourable Elastomer has excellent electrical properties. Typical electrical properties at 77°F (25°C) and 50 % humidity of cured FX-571-G are as follows:

MIXING:
Inspect joint slots to assure that they are clean and dry. To maximize bond to concrete and masonry, apply FX-571-G Joint Primer and allow to dry. Mix "A" and "B" components with a slow-speed mechanical mixer for 3 minutes. Apply with caulking gun or mechanical equipment. Tool surface to a flat, concave or recessed shape.
COVERAGE:
330 gram unit will yield approximately 13.1 CI.
660 gram unit will yield approximately 26.2 CI.
3/4 gallon (4363 grams) unit will yield approximately 173.2 CI.
PACKAGING:
FX-571-G is available in 330 grams, 660 grams and 3/4 gallon (4363 grams) units.
LIMITATIONS:
Do not install in damp or wet joints. For optimal results temperature should be above 40°F (4.4NC) at time of application to assure proper curing.
CAUTION:
Repeated or prolonged contact with skin should be avoided; protective gloves should be worn as a precaution. Avoid contact with eyes; in case of eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and consult a physician.
