Loop Sealant

DESCRIPTION:

FX-592 Loop Sealant is a 100% solids medium viscosity epoxy resin designed for filling saw cut loop detector joints. FX-592 has an easy mix ratio of 1 Part "A" to 1 Part "B" by volume. FX-592 is formulated for a convenient system that does not require filler and will hold grade when placed in saw cut joints.

ADVANTAGES:

Fast curing time facilitates easy use of FX-592. FX-592 seals can be opened to traffic in two (2) hours at 70°F. FX-592 Loop Sealant bonds to both concrete and asphalt, and has flexibility to expand and contract with temperature changes.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Saw cut slot to the specified depth and width in concrete or asphalt. Move water or dust from saw cut slot with oil free compressed air.

MIXING APPLICATION:

Combine one part by volume of Component "A" with one part by volume of Component "B". The blend should be thoroughly mixed for at least three minutes with an FX-Mixing Paddle on a low speed (300 to 600 rpm) drill motor. Place wire in slot and fill with FX-592 Loop Sealant.

YIELD:

One gallon of FX-592 Loop Sealant provides 231 cubic inches of liquid sealant.

CAUTION:

May cause skin sensitization or other allergic response. Avoid inhalation of vapor. Use good ventilation, particularly if material is heated or sprayed. Prevent all contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and/or barrier creams. If contact with skin occurs, wash immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water and contact a physician.
